SÓ String Training Stage 1 - Children of 3 years+ gain fluency in aural awareness and inner hearing, pulse, rhythm, literacy and coordinated movement in a stimulating yet structured environment through Kodály and Eurhythmics. There is also the opportunity to enjoy music making as a social and shared activity by joining one of the choirs at the Centre. Stage 2 – Children of 6 years+ develop and enhance skills learnt at earlier stages and also apply these skills to learning to play a stringed instrument of their choice. Ensemble work affords pupils the opportunity to hone listening and coordination skills as well as derive real pleasure from music making.
Stage 1:
45 minutes of instruction in Kodály Musicianship Individual instrumental lesson of 30 minutes 40 minutes of ensemble work (Please see over page for optional Stage 2 course elements) *FEES (per 10 week teaching term)
