Leslie Hollingworth, Director

Leslie Hollingworth teaches piano at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, The Bexley Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and is an examiner for The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Edexcel. He currently works with over sixty students of all ages and abilities, has given public master classes and lectured for the Academic Studies Department of the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Leslie has built a reputation as chamber pianist of high quality and musical intelligence. He has collaborated with internationally distinguished artists including the American cellist Lynn Harrell with whom he has broadcast, toured Italy and performed at London’s Wigmore Hall. Recent performances with the Szabó Trio have included series at the Chichester Festivities, as well as concerts in London, Hungary and at the Shannon International Music Festival broadcast by Lyric FM.

During his time as a student at the Royal Academy of Music and the Bloomington School of Music (Indiana University, USA), Leslie studied with Professors Hamish Milne and the late Michel Block. He graduated the RAM in 1997 with First Class Honours, received the Leslie England Piano Prize for the most outstanding final recital, and in 1999 was awarded the Diploma of Postgraduate Performance with Distinction. His prizes and awards are numerous. The most notable awards are from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, the English Speaking Union, the Leverhulme Trust and the Academy's nomination for the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
