‘A unique and refreshing approach to arts education for children
and adults of all abilities'

The SÓ approach recognises the importance of achieving a natural and spontaneous synthesis of the body and mind during the creative artistic process.  students master the synchronisation of technical, musical and creative elements through participation in a range of artistic activities exploring the shared artistic vocabulary of structure, shape, colour, line, movement and texture.

Conveniently based in Hampstead, North London, The Centre provides the opportunity for a multi-sensory educational experience for both children and adults of all abilities.  teachers are trained and supported in the provision for special needs learning.

Our collaborative approach to arts education is inspired by the life and work of the world-renowned Hungarian musician, teacher, painter and writer Orsolya Szabó.  Orsolya Szabó is currently a Professor of Piano at the Kodaly Institute (Liszt Academy) and has developed her own unique method of movement applied to the processes of interpretation, creation and performance.  Among her many achievements is her work as a teacher for Yehudi Menuhin's MUS-E Project, and as Artistic Director of , Prof. Szabó has a special role working with teachers and students sharing her creative expertise through master classes and teacher training.
